I am a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Board Certified Diplomate (BCD) with the National Association of Social Workers. I have over 25 years experience treating adolescent and adult individuals and couples. I received my Bachelors Degree in psychology from Adelphi University and my Masters Degree in clinical social work from Fordham University in Manhattan. I am also a Certified Hypnotherapist with advanced training from The NY Society of Eriksonian Psychotherapy and Hypnosis.
I trained at Petersen-Krag Mental Health Clinic and Family Services Association where I provided individual, couples and group psychotherapy. Before going exclusively into private practice I worked at North Shore/LIJ Hospital in Drug Treatment and Education, providing consults, evaluations, and out-patient individual and group psychotherapy for recovering drug addicts and alcoholics. I was a book reviewer for The Journal of Substance Abuse Treatment.
